We just got word from the DNC. To qualify for the next debates, each candidate needs at least 400 donors state-by-state and a minimum of 130,000 donors in total.
We feel good about hitting those goals, but we want to be sure that we exceed the minimum in every state and territory in the country. It looks like you haven't donated yet, so I have a quick question for you:

More than a year ago, a conservative radio host in Lubbock, Texas asked me if I would vote for impeachment. Knowing that it might not be the most popular answer in my home state of Texas, I said yes. It was clear to me then, as it is now, that the future of our democracy is at stake.
Robert Mueller just made it crystal clear. Of the hundreds of pages in his special counsel report, he chose to highlight both the obstruction of justice and calculated attacks on our democracy by Russia. He said something important: when the subject of an investigation obstructs that inquiry, or lies to investigators, it strikes at the very core of our government's ability to get to the truth and hold people accountable.
His message was clear. If we want to prevent this from happening again, we must hold those responsible to account. The only way we can do that is for Congress to meet this moment and begin impeachment proceedings.
This systematic attack by Russia on our democracy demands the attention of every American, and the only way every American can be represented properly is through the House of Representatives. If ever there were a moment to act, it is now. If Congress fails to do that, we have set the precedent that some people are above the law in this country.
I believe those members of Congress who listen to the courage of their convictions at this moment of truth will be rewarded by the judgment of history. While we still can, we must hold the president accountable for his blatant obstruction of justice and lies to investigators.
This is not about me running for president. It's not something I take lightly. It's more important than any one election or one presidency. The sanctity of our democracy is at stake, and we don't have much time.

Today marks two months since I joined Beto's team! We've already made major progress on hiring, rolling out our first big policy announcements, and building infrastructure for the months to come.
But this campaign won't be won or lost by the staff we hire, the websites we build, or the offices we open. We'll win by building the largest grassroots effort in the country, harnessing the ingenuity, power, and excitement of millions of Americans fighting for a better future.
That's why we set a big goal this week to hit 25,000 more donations by the end of the month. Our fundraising has to come from the people. But realistically we're going to need to increase our pace to make it to our goal by May 31.
This week I had my first chance to see Beto in Iowa. The crowds at each event, the thoughtful questions from Iowans, and the organizers working hard on the ground left me feeling more hopeful than ever. We will win if we build this campaign together.

Last night's CNN town hall reminded me of how we started this journey.
From the early days of our Senate campaign, I remember traveling solo from town to town, just asking to meet with anyone who'd spend some time with me. I had the chance to first introduce myself and learn from mayors, farmers, students, doctors, Uber drivers, musicians, artists, teachers, librarians — people from every walk of life.
Now we want to hear from more of you as we run to serve in the White House. Listening to all of you share your stories and perspectives shapes my thinking on how we move our country forward to solve the serious challenges ahead.
But I know not everyone can come to one of our town halls. And as much as I'd like to personally visit every county in America, as we did in Texas, it may not be possible in the time we have. So we've come up with the next best thing.
We just opened up our website, social media, and email inboxes to questions. We're calling it our Town Hall for America, and you can join in right now.
In every answer, I will strive to be as honest and thorough as possible. And with every question, my team and I will learn more about what's important to the people we are seeking to serve in the White House.
When I served on El Paso city council, we held bilingual town halls once a week. We did monthly ones when I got elected to Congress. In our Senate run, we put on more than 328 public town meetings, and we did it in every county of Texas. Now we've already visited more counties in Iowa than any other candidate in the field.
We did that because public feedback and input is the heart of our democracy.
