This campaign is about bringing this divided country together so that we can meet the greatest challenges America has ever faced.
Dear Jason,
This campaign is about bringing this divided country together so that we can meet the greatest challenges America has ever faced. And we're doing it by going everywhere and showing up for everyone.
Just on this trip, we spent time in Aurora and Chicago, meeting with survivors of gun violence to focus on steps to reduce gun deaths in this country; we joined thousands in the streets of Denver in a climate strike to focus our attention on confronting climate change before it is too late; we spent time in Gary, Indiana listening to a community that wants to contribute to the national conversation on jobs and economic opportunity. And we spoke to nearly 12,000 people at the annual Steak Fry in Iowa, getting a chance to reach those who will decide the first-in-the-nation caucus, most of whom are still undecided.
Your donations make this possible, and tomorrow we have a deadline and a $750k goal. Can you make a contribution now so we can meet our goal?

Your willingness to contribute to this campaign gives me the chance to travel to these communities and meet with our fellow Americans. It allows us to run a campaign that is fearless in standing up for the right thing and tireless in bringing in people from all parts of the country and every walk of life.
On this same trip we've also been to:
- Skid Row, to meet with homeless women and men to listen to their ideas and solutions for housing and economic justice
- A cannabis dispensary in Oakland to learn how transformative justice must be central to ending the prohibition on marijuana and addressing a war on drugs that has become a war on communities of color
- A dry dock in Erie, Pennsylvania, to focus on creating more manufacturing jobs in America
- Kent State, to hear about how student leadership was fundamental to ending the war in Vietnam, and is essential to meeting the challenges we face today
- Dayton, Ohio to learn from that community's experience with mass shootings and gun violence
- The Meskwaki settlement in Iowa to listen to Native American women as they describe the challenges and solutions to environmental and criminal justice concerns
- A community roundtable in Lordstown, Ohio to understand the devastation of the GM plant closure there and the need to support unions and workers
- A town hall in Pittsburgh, to discuss the cost and consequences of rising anti-semitism and hate crimes in America
Check out the photos at the end of the email. While we had the chance to listen and learn at every stop, I also had the chance to make my case for the nomination and enlist the support of prospective voters and volunteers. We shared with them our ability to win Texas and its 38 electoral college votes; our commitment to campaigning without PAC money or corporate help; and our success in bringing in new Democratic voters as well as gaining support from Independents and even Republicans who no longer feel welcomed in the party of Donald Trump.
Please contribute now to help us reach our goal before tomorrow's deadline. Help me stay on the road so that we can continue to bring our fellow Americans into the most important election of our lifetime. I promise to make the most of your contributions and to stay on the road for as long as it takes, to work as hard as we possibly can, and to be there for everyone, every day.
Thank you,
Beto
