Hey Jason, it's Conor!
It's been a month since I joined the team at Leaders We Deserve as the new Director of Development — and what a ride it has been so far!
You'll be hearing more from me via email with critical updates about Leaders We Deserve, so I thought I would introduce myself.
Here's a little bit about me: I'm originally from Cleveland, Ohio, so naturally I'm a rabid fan of the Cavaliers and Guardians. I graduated from Loyola Chicago, and I've worked on political campaigns from the moment I completed my education.
In fact, in the 72 hours after I walked across the stage, I drove 900 miles to Norfolk, Virginia, and immediately got to work knocking on doors and getting out the vote. Since that day, I've never taken more than four weeks away without applying for or working on a campaign.
Now, I'm very excited to be working with David Hogg to elect young, progressive leaders up-and-down the ballot, especially during one of the most important elections in American history.

I have known and admired David as a public voice for years. As I got to know him throughout the interview process, it became even clearer to me that he is a leader with integrity. Who David is in the public spotlight is exactly who he is in private.
That's rare in politics!
It's one of the reasons I'm so excited to be working with him to help him achieve this organization's goals, which includes helping launch the careers of our amazing slate of candidates running for state legislatures — all without accepting donations from private corporations.
Everyone at Leaders We Deserve believes that if we do our jobs well enough, the need for our organization will go away. The issue of money in politics has become a serious issue, so we're proud to be doing the work to put elections back in the hands of the people.
Leaders We Deserve has successfully invested in (and won!) the campaigns of young, progressive candidates like Nadarius Clark, Molly Cook, and Oscar De Los Santos. And we're riding full force into the upcoming election with the intention of getting ALL of our candidates elected.
