What the GOP is working on right now:

The government is shut down, people are not getting their paychecks, grocery prices are going up, and health care is at risk for millions of Americans.

Let's be clear: This shutdown is fully Republican-made, and Trump could end it any time he wants.

But the headlines clearly show that Republicans have other priorities on their minds. Trump is tearing down the East Wing of the White House and asking the Justice Department to pay him hundreds of millions of dollars. And Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem is asking taxpayers to pay for TWO Gulfstream jets. Instead of wasting tax dollars, she could fly Southwest with Jacky Rosen – and enjoy the fantastic pretzels on board (they're made in Nevada!).

As long as Trump and Republicans are in power, they will continue using the government and its resources for their own ends while the rest of us suffer.

Meanwhile, people are coming to Jacky worried sick about their ability to afford to go to the doctor. That's why she and Democrats are fighting with everything they have to open the government and get people the health care they need.

Unfortunately, it's clear Americans will never truly be safe from skyrocketing costs, wasteful government spending, and the threat of losing health care coverage as long as Trump and Republicans are in power. That's why Democrats MUST take back the Senate.
