More than half a century ago, the United States enacted the Voting Rights Act to ensure all Americans have an equal opportunity to participate in our democracy. |
Now, the six right-wing members of the Supreme Court have ruled to allow state legislatures to take this right away.
Their decision in Louisiana v. Callais will allow Republicans to draw district lines that undercut the political power of millions of Black voters – and potentially eliminate over a dozen House seats held by Democrats. |
