You’ve been selected to respond to Team Beto’s Election Year Strategy Survey →
Hey Jason,
Beto really wants to hear from folks like you about our strategy to fire Greg Abbott and win in Texas — which is why we're asking you to represent CA in our official Strategy Survey.
Will you take a minute to respond to our February Election Year Strategy Survey, starting with the question below?
With your help, we will elect Beto and defeat Greg Abbott this year, but we need to be clear-eyed about the challenges that lie ahead. Abbott has amassed over $62 million in campaign cash, and his corporate donors will spend whatever it takes to protect their power.
Right now, we're planning our next round of travel, hiring more organizing staff, and setting our budget for the rest of this campaign. There's no better time to get feedback from supporters like you on how we're investing our time and energy.
Click here to complete Team Beto's official Election Year Strategy Survey →
Thank you for taking the time to share your response. It really means a lot.
More soon,

We have just a few hours left
Hey Jason — it's Nick, Beto's campaign manager.
I know it's late on a Saturday, so I'll keep this short. We have just a few hours left before our TEC deadline at midnight. Everything we raise will be made public.
With reporters already reaching out and asking if we're going to be outraised by Abbott, it's really important that we reach our $750,000 fundraising goal before midnight.
Our organizers and volunteers are hard at work to reach 3 million voters before March 1st. We're building the biggest, hardest working organizing program that Texas has ever seen to defeat Greg Abbott and elect Beto. But, it's absolutely crucial that we reach every goal that we set.
Please add your first contribution to help us reach our $750,000 goal before midnight.

This isn’t the typical fundraising request
Hi Jason,
We're so grateful that you're part of the grassroots movement to elect Beto as the next Governor of Texas. And today, you have a chance to stake a special claim in our movement.
At midnight tonight, we're up against another state-mandated reporting deadline. That means we are legally required to close the books on our fundraising and file a report with how much we've raised to the Texas Ethics Commission.
So far, Greg Abbott has outpaced Beto's fundraising. Tonight's deadline is a critical chance for us to show we're capable of out-raising Abbott and his corporate donors through the power of grassroots donors.
What we're asking for today isn't the typical campaign fundraising request. You see, every donor who gives $90 or more will be publicly listed in our TEC report. So if you contribute $90 to this email, you'll be on the record as a top supporter, and someone who made Beto's historic victory possible.
Will you take the next step and officially put your name on our Texas Ethics Commission report by donating to the link below?
https://betofortexas.com/tec-donor?name=Jason&amounts=90
To be clear, we couldn't be more grateful for the simple fact that you're with us, Jason. If today isn't the right time to donate, don't worry about it.
But if you are in a place to give, every name we add to our TEC report will boost our chances of winning in November and putting an end to Greg Abbott's harmful governorship. Your continued support and belief in Beto — and in what we can achieve together — means everything.
Thank you for everything.

We don't want to have to ask Beto to take time away from critical campaign events
Jason,
Yesterday, Beto kicked off a weekend of action in the Rio Grande Valley with stops in Edinburg, McAllen, and Harlingen.
While Beto heads to Brownsville and Donna to meet with Texans today, our finance team will be focused on one thing: meeting our $750,000 fundraising goal before tonight's mandatory deadline.
Everything we raise before midnight will become public after we file our report with the Texas Ethics Commission, so falling short isn't an option. Jason, will you chip in $10 or more right now? Let us explain why your contribution is so important.
Lately, our fundraising has slowed down. If we don't pick up the pace, we risk being outraised by Abbott again. In a time of 30-second TV ads and super PACs, the only way forward is to run a people-powered effort like we've never seen before.
We had lofty goals for our fundraising this month, and to be candid, we might fall short if we don't step up the pace now. But worrying about fundraising is the last thing we want to put on Beto's plate right now as he meets with voters.
We don't want to have to ask Beto to take time away from critical campaign events to help bridge this gap. So, we need to try our best to hit this $750,000 goal on our own.
Please, we're relying on grassroots folks like you to help us hit this goal before midnight tonight, so we have to ask again:
Thank you.

Campaign offices across Texas
Hi Jason, it's Jason — Beto's deputy campaign manager.
Our next TEC deadline is coming up quickly — it's tomorrow. What we raise in the next 36 hours could determine how many field offices we are able to open, organizers we are able to hire, and voters we are able to reach before Election Day.
We set a goal to raise $750,000 before midnight tomorrow to super-charge our organizing efforts and open new field offices across Texas because that's how we're going to win — by reaching voters where they are and writing no one off.
This race is going to be one of the closest elections ever held in Texas, and it's going to take all of us coming together to win, which is why it's so important that we have the resources to open field offices across Texas.
With 254 counties, 268,596 square miles, and more than 29.1 million people, the best way to personally reach voters across the state is to open as many brick-and-mortar locations as we can.
Every field office will be more than a place to host phone banks or launch canvasses. It will be a hub for this community — staff and volunteers alike — to come together and grow our movement to elect Beto.
Thank you so much for your support,
Jason Lee

Our make-or-break $750,000 goal
Jason,
Here's the deal: Usually we have 30-31 days to hit our monthly fundraising goals, but this month we only have 28 days. On top of that, we have our next TEC mandatory filing deadline tomorrow!
Reporters are already starting to reach out to ask if we're going to be outraised by Abbott and his corporate mega-donors again.
We set a goal to raise $750,000 before midnight on Saturday (the next TEC deadline) and with a short month, we don't have the time to catch up if we fall short of our goal by tomorrow night.
All eyes are on this campaign to see if we have what it takes to flip Texas. We can't let something as trivial as a 28-day month keep us from hitting our goals and having the campaign infrastructure we need to take on Greg Abbott.
Our organizers and volunteers are hard at work to reach 3 million voters before March 1st. We're building the biggest, boldest organizing program that Texas has ever seen to defeat Greg Abbott and elect Beto.
Donate now to help build a campaign that can reach every Texan. We can't count out a single vote.
Thank you, Jason. Together, we'll work for every single vote and write no one off. That's how we win.

Jason's assignment in Glasscock County
Jason,
Our 254 County Mobilization Plan is key to Beto winning in a state as big and diverse as Texas. No county is too small, too Republican, or too anything for us to show up, organize, and compete for their votes. We're going to go everywhere and talk to everyone.
But with our next Texas Ethics Commission mandatory filing deadline just two days away, we need to ensure that we have a budget for organizing and advertising in each of Texas' 254 counties. So here's what you need to know about your assignment to Glasscock, Jason.
You've been assigned to sponsor Glasscock County in Texas. More than 793 voters are registered there, and we've set a goal of raising $396.5 to fund our 254 County Mobilization plan. Can Beto count on your help to reach Glasscock County voters? ⇢ Make a $25 donation to reach 50 voters in Glasscock County. ⇢ Make a $50 donation to reach 100 voters in Glasscock County. ⇢ Make a $100 donation to reach 200 voters in Glasscock County. ⇢ Make a $250 donation to reach 500 voters in Glasscock County. |
The truth about this race is that we might never match Greg Abbott's overall spending. He's had a major head-start on fundraising, not to mention support from corporate mega-donors.
But our 254 County Mobilization plan gives us a BIG edge over Abbott. You would be surprised at how many people will vote with us if given a chance to hear from our campaign and about our positive vision for the future of this state. In counties where most people vote Republican, competing for votes will help us close the margins. And in counties that often vote Democrat, showing up and organizing will help us increase our margins.
If we can raise enough money to organize, advertise, and show up in all 254 counties, we'll have what it takes to elect Beto in November. Can you help us hit our fundraising goal for Glasscock County before our mandatory TEC deadline that's less than 48 hours away?
Thank you for considering a donation to reach the 793 registered voters of Glasscock County. This is what a true grassroots campaign looks like. Talking to everyone, writing no one off, competing for every vote.

Will you volunteer to help make Beto the next Governor of Texas?
Jason,
Team Beto is working tirelessly to reach our goal of contacting 3 million Texas voters before March 1st.
With mail-in ballots already being rejected at alarming rates under Greg Abbott's stringent voter restrictions, our work has never been more important.
But our deadline is just 12 days away, and truth be told, the only way we're going to reach our goal is if we can add at least 1,000 new volunteer sign-ups today.
Jason, sign up today to make calls to Texans and build support for Beto! You'll have the opportunity to meet other supporters and make calls together after a brief training. Our phone banks are hosted virtually, so you can join us from anywhere.
Winning in Texas won't be easy, especially with the extreme voter suppression happening right in front of our eyes. But we know that we're capable of generating once-in-a-lifetime voter turnout if we put in the work.
That's why it's critical we use every tool we have to reach eligible voters with Beto's vision and help folks all across Texas participate in this election.
Thank you for being part of this,
Katherine Fischer
