I'm writing to you today to first and foremost say thank you for the support you've given me this year. I'm filled with gratitude for the trust, encouragement, and hope the people of Maryland have placed in me as we fight together to build a state that leaves no one behind.
I realize this request comes at a time when most folks are spending time with loved ones around the holidays. Or maybe you're just trying to unplug until the new year. Please know that I don't make this ask lightly.
The reason this request simply can't wait until the new year is because on January 14, my campaign will legally have to pause all fundraising during the Maryland State Legislative session. That means 11:59 on 12/31 is our last quarterly deadline before this fundraising freeze. It's crucial we don't fall behind in this moment, before our fundraising will be legally paused for a period of around three full months.
Trust me when I say that I'd have waited until the new year to ask for your support if I could. And I know that at this point in the year post-holidays, many folks may not choose to contribute. But if you're willing to be among the few people in Venice who can donate even one time before our final deadline of 2025, I'd be so grateful.
