I had to make a tough decision today.
We had a meeting where we had to decide what our budget should be for digital ads this summer. A brand new poll showed us down by 1 point, so we know that we have to start reaching voters ASAP.
While I'd like to green-light the budget, I'm nervous because we're so far off from our big end-of-quarter fundraising goal.
So, I had to make a difficult call: Should I move forward with a new investment in digital ads or wait to see if we hit our fundraising deadline goal?
Ultimately, I decided we should remain dark on ads and wait until we hit our fundraising goal. I hate this because it gives Republicans the upper hand. BUT if we see a surge in donations we can reach our goal and I'll be able to give my team the green light ASAP.
