I just filed my 50th lawsuit against the Trump administration this year.
This isn't a milestone we were looking for — but I said from the very start of this presidency that when Trump breaks the law, I will take him to court.
Every time he threatens our future, puts special interests ahead of the American people, and violates the U.S. Constitution, we will fight back.
Every time.
This latest lawsuit challenges Trump's unlawful suspension of two bipartisan electric vehicle charging infrastructure grant programs that make investments in cleaner air and a healthier future.
This administration is siding with Big Oil and refusing to spend funds that Congress has already appropriated — a clear violation of Congress's Constitutionally-granted power.
The President doesn't get to ignore the law simply because he disagrees with the policy, or because he wants to play nice with his Big Oil donors. So yet again — for the 50th time — I'll see Donald Trump in court.
We're asking the court to step in and stop the administration from unlawfully withholding these funds before even more damage is done — because the consequences are real. This reckless move will stall the fight against climate change, slow innovation and clean-energy development, undercut green job creation, and leave communities without access to affordable transportation.
I refuse to sit on the sidelines while this administration sabotages our environment, our economy, and the rule of law.
I'm going to keep fighting back — today, tomorrow, and beyond. If you're with me, will you chip in today to help power our fight against this lawless and reckless administration?
