The Democrats are doing the very same thing they booted me over.
Jason, I want to make sure you saw this, because it really pisses me off:
The Democratic establishment is now doing the very same thing the DNC booted me over.
The biggest contention during my time as DNC Vice Chair was that Leaders We Deserve was endorsing primary challengers in safe blue districts.
They said that the Party needed to remain impartial rather than getting involved.
Fast forward to now: the DCCC, a committee partially funded by the DNC, meddled in the primary in California’s 22nd District, backing the more conservative candidate, Jasmeet Bains, over our Leaders We Deserve-endorsed candidate Randy Villegas.
The Party’s efforts were unsuccessful — thanks in part to the support of this team. We helped Randy Villegas surge to victory despite the DNC. And we showed the Party that we won’t allow them to blunt the power of the next generation of leaders.
Because of this grassroots team, we’re able to compete against the massive warchest of the Democratic establishment when they try to beat our candidates.
