Jason, today is Father's Day, and I wanted to take a moment to tell you something about my husband, Colin. |
People know him as a former NFL player, a civil rights lawyer, and a Congressman. But to our family, he's simply Dad. And I truly believe that the same qualities that make Colin a wonderful father are what make him a strong leader. |
Our boys are still young, and every day I watch Colin show up for them with compassion, love, and patience. |
Whether it's helping with homework, tossing a football in the yard, reading bedtime stories, or making time for family no matter how busy life gets, he is always there when they need him. |
He learned those values from his own mom, who raised him as a single parent and taught him the importance of hard work, service, and caring for others. Now, he's passing those same lessons on to our children. |
And they're the same values he'll bring back to Congress. |
But getting there won't be easy. The same Republicans who have done everything they can to make life harder for working families are determined to hold onto their power, and they know it's not their policies that will do that. That's why they're going to spend huge sums of money to win in districts like TX-33. |
So this Father's Day, if you believe our country needs leaders who show up for people the way Colin shows up for his family, I hope you'll support his campaign with a donation.
