The presidential election matters, but so do local races—especially for issues like housing and sustainability in California.
That's why Katie hosted an event to support Irvine candidates Tammy Kim, Melinda Liu, Jing Sun, and Ayn Craciun, because we need elected officials at every level who share our values.
They, and so many other progressive candidates, are the reason we all do this work.
Tammy, Melinda, Jing, and Ayn are all running for office in Irvine to fight for and serve their communities. Local races may not always garner national attention, but local elected officials can change folks' day-to-day lives and their communities.
