Do Republicans think we can’t do the math?

My Progressive Deficit Reduction Plan isn't about politics–it's about priorities.

Jason,   The Republican budget bill making its way through Congress isn't just reckless–it's an attack on ordinary Americans. It slashes Medicare, Medicaid, and SNAP, all while cutting taxes for corporations and increasing the deficit by $2.4 trillion.   Do they think Americans can't do the math? On top of that, we can generate revenue by taxing corporations and billionaires fairly.   This plan isn't about politics–it's about priorities.    Americans shouldn't pay two to four times more for prescriptions than people in Canada, Germany, or the UK.    We shouldn't be paying polluters to give our kids asthma and fleece the American public.    We shouldn't be greenlighting a $1 trillion budget for a Defense Department that hasn't passed an audit in nine years.    And we shouldn't be giving handouts to billionaires and corporations while working families struggle to make ends meet.
