Hey, y’all, Colin here, and I’m excited to share that I just released the first part of my Anti-Corruption Plan – my vision for how we tackle corruption in American politics. Today, I’d love to take a minute to explain why I think tackling corruption in our country is needed now more than ever. For too long, our system has been rigged for the wealthiest 1%, for corporations, and for special interests. The corruption I’m talking about isn’t abstract – it shows up in Texans’ bills every month:
Texas families are working harder than ever, with less to show for it and less time to spend with their kids. I know this because I’m out there talking to them every day – and because I’ve seen costs rising, too. It’s back-to-school season, and everyone is struggling – teachers are having trouble stocking their classrooms, and parents are worrying about the cost of backpacks, new shoes, and school supplies. Career politicians like Ken Paxton and John Cornyn are only making things worse – and with the gerrymandered maps they supported in Texas, they’re trying to rig our elections just like they’ve rigged our economy. They know that when politicians get to choose who their voters are – and not the other way around – there’s no one to hold them accountable. It’s time to take a stand. It’s time to make our economy work for working people. It’s time to elect leaders who will fight for our families – not for billionaires and corporations. People should get into politics because they want to serve their communities – not to turn a profit. That’s why I’ve made these three promises:

I know that’s a lot to digest, and there’s even more in the full 12-point plan, which I hope you’ll check out in my previous Substack here. But here’s what it comes down to: stopping corruption, lowering costs for working families, and making government work for Texans.
