Here's what I've been working on: | | 1) Repealing cuts to Medicaid. On the 60th anniversary of Medicaid, I helped introduce legislation to repeal the GOP's massive cuts to Medicaid that could cause millions of Americans to lose their health care. The bill also includes a permanent extension of the Affordable Care Act's (ACA) enhanced premium tax credits. | | 2) Cutting housing costs. I introduced a bill to help lower housing costs for Nevada families. The Housing Oversight and Mitigating Exploitation (HOME) Act would crack down on price gouging by corporate investors who are buying up homes and driving up prices. | | 3) Fighting for food assistance. I joined Catholic Charities to hand deliver Meals on Wheels and highlight the critical importance of similar food assistance programs. I also vowed to do everything I can to restore SNAP funding and reauthorize the Older Americans Act to protect the Meals on Wheels program. | | I know there's no shortage of concerns weighing on your mind.
