This healthcare crisis was completely avoidable
This is why I ran for Congress in the first place.
Jason,
I first ran for Congress because my brother was born pre-maturely. My parents left the hospital with a 100 page medical bill. If it weren't for my dad's health insurance, our family wouldn't have made it. When my local Republican Congressman voted to take away healthcare for people like my brother, I decided to run for office. And I won.
That is why I am so frustrated with the healthcare crisis we're in right now.
Millions of Americans are going to see their healthcare premiums DOUBLE in January. All because Republicans won't extend tax credits to make coverage affordable. This is quite simply, politics at its worst.
Donald Trump and his cronies would rather people lose their healthcare coverage, than admit the Affordable Care Act is working. Republicans would rather people die than admit that they don't have an alternative plan. It's terrible.
I write this today, during Congress' last voting week of the year. Republicans have no plan to fix this impending crisis. Instead, on Friday they are going home. I wonder how many will even think about the families about to lose their coverage. I doubt many will.
You are receiving this email because Congressman Josh Harder is one of our last lines of defense to protect our democracy against MAGA extremists like Donald Trump and Speaker Mike Johnson.
