Remember when THIS happened at last year's Army-Navy game?
I met President Trump at the Army-Navy game last year, and unlike what he says now, he actually walked up to me and said "My people are telling me you're doing a really good job. How can I help?"
So I told him about our work to rebuild the Key Bridge. I told him about how a ship the size of three football fields slammed into the bridge, killing six construction workers and causing the collapse that closed the Port of Baltimore.
And, for the record, I definitely did not tell him he's my favorite president. (Even if that's how he remembers it. 🤔)
Look, when we can partner with the federal government I'll welcome it. But when Trump's pushing lies, I'll call it out. That's what it means to put Maryland first.
Thanks!
