That choice changed everything.
Because of our grassroots support, I walked into office owing nothing to special interests. No one pulling strings. No favors to repay. Just a mandate from everyday Marylanders to get things done.
That's why we were able to move fast. Historic drops in violent crime. The lowest number of homicides in Baltimore in 50 years. Record investments in our public schools. Uplifting and investing in our small businesses.
None of that happens if I'm spending my time chasing big checks instead of delivering results.
