The future of our rural communities is on the ballot this year.
Pennsylvania has 48 rural counties, and I'm fighting to ensure that each one gets a fair shake and future opportunities.
As Senator, I'm proud to have brought critical investments to small towns across the Commonwealth. I've fought for legislation to improve and expand high-speed internet access in all corners of the Commonwealth. I've advocated to make the Farm Bill work for Pennsylvania, giving farmers the help they need and ensuring that our agriculture industry can continue to thrive.
My opponent, on the other hand, is out of step with folks from these communities. He's a multi-millionaire who made his money on Wall Street and lives in a mansion on Connecticut's "Gold Coast." He doesn't understand the needs of our farmers and folks in rural areas — and only cares about the billionaires funding his campaign.
I believe where you live shouldn't determine the quality of your education, access to health care, or ability to obtain a family-sustaining job. The contrast between me and my opponent on this issue could not be more clear.
