Our 2024 Republican opponent just filed to run again against Alexandria in 2026.
Instead of doing any sort of meaningful work for The Bronx or Queens, she announced this campaign — just one week after being defeated.
We haven't mentioned this opponent by name this year, and that's on purpose. She is a perennially failed MAGA grifter who is not running to serve our community, she is running to spread misinformation and attack Alexandria.
As a refresher, here are a few facts about our newly re-announced opponent:
- She paid George Santos a lot of money to consult on the 2022 election. In 2022, she paid George Santos' consulting firm $110,320 and hers was the only campaign to ever report working with the firm.
- Her campaign may have been part of a scam run by George Santos. A donor who gave to Santos had their credit card charged for additional, unauthorized donations — including two maxed-out $2,900 contributions to her campaign.
- She participated in the January 6 Insurrection rally.
- She is associated with the white supremacist Proud Boys and proudly posted a photo of herself with their leaders.
With MAGA extremists emboldened, we need the resources to fight misinformation like never before and defeat our newly announced challenger in 2026.
