I'm reaching out to you today to ask if you'll support Christina Bohannan's recount effort for a House seat in Iowa. But first, let me share a bit about Christina and the current state of the race.
Christina is a friend and former colleague. I know that she cares deeply for the people of Iowa's first district. She's running to represent the same district I lived in when I taught at the University of Iowa!
Christina is challenging a Republican incumbent, and with nearly all the votes counted, she's behind by only a few hundred votes — or 0.2% of the vote total.
When a race is as close as this one and the stakes are so high, it's crucial that every single vote is counted and the totals are accurate.
We still have the opportunity to flip this seat from red to blue and send a hard-working mom to Congress, but time is running out.
Please, help Christina as she gears up for recount by splitting a donation with her right now.
