 | | | | | Jason, I've got a serious question for you: Do you oppose gerrymandering? | | Because right now, Texas politicians are using it to rig our elections, silence voters, and hold onto power – and your voice, when used alongside thousands of others, has the power to change that. | | Will you add your name to oppose Republicans' partisan gerrymandering and demand fair maps in Texas and across the country? | | | | TX-33 is a racially gerrymandered district. It was drawn with the intent to protect politicians – not represent people. | | A federal judge has already said these maps are deeply flawed and discriminatory by design. But Republican lawmakers pushed them through anyway, knowing exactly what they were doing: diluting the voices of Black and brown Texans and trying to lock in power for years to come. | | Before I ever ran for office, I was a voting rights lawyer, because I believe democracy only works if everyone gets an equal say. That's why I'm running to represent TX-33, and why when I get to Washington, I'll fight for a federal ban on gerrymandering once and for all. | | If you agree that politicians shouldn't be allowed to pick their voters – and that Texas deserves fair maps and equal representation – I hope you'll be one of the 10,000 people I need to add their name today. | | | | Together, we can protect our democracy and make sure every vote truly counts. | | Thank you. –Colin Allred | | | | | | |
