Did you watch the president's speech tonight, Jason?
Tonight Donald Trump took over national TV news sets to spew a bunch of random bullshit about "transgender for everybody," "affordability is a made up term," "sinister woke radicals in our schools," and a long list of other lies.
It reminded me of President Bush's reaction to Trump's inaugural address.
"That was some weird shit."
One thing is clear: the Democratic Party needs to run the best possible candidates in November. And we need to effectively end this presidency's reign of terror.
We're working to elect a new generation of progressives who are ready to offer a real alternative to Trumpism and deliver the change that Americans want to see. With a new generation coming into power who are ready to fight back against Trump and refuse corporate money.
Our candidates are fighting for affordable housing and health care, solutions to climate change and gun violence, and human rights and dignity for everyone. And they are building a bench of progressives that will shape power for years to come.
