We're more than 15 months away from the presidential election. But in North Carolina, an important special election is just seven weeks away. In a district roiled by a major ballot fraud scandal, Dan McCready is hoping to flip North Carolina's 9th from red to blue.

• First, the race is a TOSSUP according to Cook Political. A new poll yesterday showed the race all tied up (46-46).
• Donald Trump and Mike Pence both held events for Dan's opponent, because they know it's a must-win race.
• Dan McCready is a top target for the NRA, which is spending money to mail out attacks on him.
• Above all, Dan is the right candidate for the job. A Marine Corps veteran who served in Iraq, he went on to found a solar energy company.
