Alexandria is always sure to fact-check billionaire Elon Musk when he spreads disinformation and propaganda on Twitter, sorry 'X'.
So last night, after Musk shared a right-wing, anti-immigration article and accused Dems of 'importing voters' to influence elections, AOC had to remind him:
Elon and billionaires just like him are terrified that our progressive movement for justice and equality is growing.
They spread propaganda about immigration — and universal healthcare, and a Green New Deal — to rile up their extremist supporters ahead of the election.
And here are the latest facts on immigration: according to new estimates, immigration will expand our workforce by 5.2 million people, contributing an additional $7 trillion to our economy in the next ten years.
And as more, working-age immigrants arrive in our country to seek employment, our aging population will be able to retire with dignity while our economy continues to grow.1
Together, we'll send a message that our movement is more powerful than far-right billionaire propaganda.
