Lies about the 2020 election, abortion, and immigration are dominating the airwaves as the election cycle heats up. Just this morning, in a new Truth Social video, Donald Trump pushed even more of these far-right theories to his base.
He claimed that Democrats want to conduct abortions in the ninth month of pregnancy, even "execution after birth."
And he said that he was "proudly the person responsible" for ending Roe v. Wade.
Trump has done some tap dancing in his stance around abortion, but it's clear: he will sacrifice the rights, health, and life of anyone with a uterus to get back to the White House.
We must be ready to fight back.
Trump has said that abortion rights should be left to individual states to decide. If you want to get a glimpse into what a second Trump term would mean, just take a look at Texas:
In West Texas, some counties have successfully banned people seeking an abortion from traveling on certain roads, or through certain cities, in order to reach neighboring states where abortion access is legally protected.
The Texas Attorney General is going to extreme lengths to enforce the state's six-week abortion ban — threatening hospitals, doctors, and other judges with legal action if they perform or grant legal access to an abortion. The Texas AG is also encouraging private citizens to help enforce the ban by suing anyone who 'aids and abets' an abortion.
This is what the MAGA movement wants more of. We cannot let that happen.
