We've got breaking news in Virginia's U.S. Senate race. Last week, Donald Trump posted on social media that he was officially endorsing Hung Cao in the Republican primary—saying he has his "complete and total endorsement." Take a look:
Trump's endorsement comes on the heels of Cao openly targeting the Affordable Care Act, mocking small-town communities in Virginia as "podunk," and even attending a conservative political conference where Nazis openly mingled earlier this year.
Trump's decision to endorse Cao is the biggest earthquake this race has seen yet — giving Cao a huge burst of momentum, setting the stage for Virginia Republicans to unify behind him, and inviting national GOP mega-donors to begin funneling money into our Commonwealth to flip VA red.
We must have Tim Kaine's back and show that Virginia is ready to reject Donald Trump and Hung Cao's extremism.
