Before my friend David Hogg and I started this adventure together, I worked on a few different campaigns, and I learned a lot from each of them.
There's one thing that's remained consistent no matter which campaign or organization I've worked for, though: fundraising always slows down during the summer.

It seemed kind of weird to me at first, but it makes sense if you think about it. Summer's when kids are out of school, a lot of families go on vacation, and people are just generally a little less tuned in.
But that doesn't mean our work slows down — far from it! In fact, we're actually ramping up our operations to elect 12 of our Leaders We Deserve endorsed candidates across the country.
That work takes resources, however, which makes the prospect of a summer fundraising slowdown a little stress-inducing on my part!
So Jason, that's why I'm reaching out to you. With so many candidates counting on our support to win their elections this November, we need your help to make sure we have the resources to do it.
