Donald Trump just announced Ohio Senator J.D. Vance as his choice for Vice President.
Vance is the first millennial nominated to a major-party ticket. He once was critical of Trump, but has become a fierce 2020 election results denier, spread dangerous anti-trans misinformation1, and has flipflopped his stance on abortion in order to gain favor with Trump.2
Cynics say that we must resign ourselves to a Trump-Vance White House. Cynics have given up.
Alexandria refuses to live that way. We must not resign ourselves to a politics of scarcity and fear.
We will not stop fighting until we guarantee health care to every person, decarbonize our economy, end our system of mass incarceration and deportation, and until we finally win social, racial, and economic justice for all working people in this country.
This is about more than a single campaign or a moment in time. It's about who we are as people: working people who want a brighter future for all.
