Jason, this is not ok. America is not ok. We need to stop this.
A few days ago, Neo-Nazis marched in downtown Nashville waving flags with swastikas towards the Tennessee State House.
With scenes like the below becoming more and more common, we need to make sure that young people – who reject this toxicity from the far-right – have a strong voice to push back.
These masked men want to see the end of American society as we know it. They want to peel back every hard fought victory: LGBTQ+ rights, racial equality, end of racial discrimination, strong public education, a separation of church and state, DEI efforts, and they want to continue their attack on women's rights.
By electing young, progressive candidates, we will send a clear message that we reject Nazi/far-right extremist ideology and instead favor those who will fight for the betterment of every community. So we NEED to win in Tennessee this November.
In Tennessee, we've endorsed Allie Phillips and Luis Mata who are both running for the State Legislature.
Both Luis and Allie stand for the exact thing these Nazis fear most – immigrants and women's rights. Allie is a staunch abortion rights advocate and Luis is an immigrant's rights organizer. They have been hard at work in their communities advocating for the folks who have the most to lose if these Nazis have their way.
Electing Allie and Luis to office will be the best condemnation of this dangerous rhetoric.

If elected, he'd be the first and only Latino state legislator in Tennessee.
Allie Phillips (TN HD-75 – Clarksville)
Allie Phillips is a mom and Tennessee native who is running for office to make much-needed change in her community and her state. When she was 19 weeks pregnant, she learned that her unborn daughter was not compatible with life. Because of her state's draconian abortion ban, she was forced to travel 900 miles to terminate the pregnancy. She is fighting for reproductive freedom to make sure no one else has to experience the same traumatic situation she did.
