Big Oil has been lying for decades

I won't sit back and allow Big Oil to get away with their lies and greed.

Jason,   FIRST: Big Oil spent decades lying to the public about the impacts of climate change. Year over year, executives for corporations like ExxonMobile and Chevron have raked in billions of dollars in profits at the expense of our planet.   THEN: As the chair of the Subcommittee on the Environment, we brought Big Oil executives to testify before Congress in 2021 and began to hold them accountable for their role in accelerating the effects of climate change.   NOW: I'm being attacked by Big Oil for putting people and the environment before their bottom line.   Before I explain, will you rush a $10 contribution to my campaign to challenge Big Oil's corruption?   Since joining the House of Representatives, I have fought tirelessly to hold Big Oil accountable for exploiting hardworking Americans and fueling the climate crisis: I introduced legislation to block Big Oil subsidies, which would repeal a policy providing fossil fuel companies billions of dollars in tax credits for more pollution, more oil and gas production, and more greenhouse gas emissions. When Big Oil capitalized on the energy crisis to rake in record profits while Americans faced the highest gas prices seen since 2008, I introduced the Big Oil Windfall Profits Tax, legislation that would incentivize capping gas prices and return these corporations' excess profits to consumers through a quarterly rebate.  I won't sit back and allow Big Oil to get away with their lies and greed.
