Katie broke out her trusty whiteboard to break down exactly how Trump's economic plan is going to hurt the American people.
1: Tariffs: Trump has made clear that he plans to enact tariffs on goods coming into the United States. When companies pay more, they pass that cost along to us—the consumers.
2: Weaken antitrust: The whole point of antitrust is to create competition. Guess what competition does? It lowers prices.
3: Deport workers: If the government deports workers or reduces immigration in areas where we need workers, labor costs go up for businesses. Then, what do businesses do? They pass that cost increase along to consumers.
