Jon Favreau here.
If you're way too online like me, you've probably seen a ton of headlines about a bunch of rich guys running for Senate in states where they don't even live.
Connecticut mega-millionaire David McCormick is one of those rich guys, and he's running against beloved Pennsylvania Senator, Bob Casey.
So look, this will be a very close race, and we need to do everything we can to make sure Bob wins — which is why I'm asking if you'll contribute $5 towards his campaign today.
David McCormick is a former Wall Street hedge-fund exec who wants you to think he grew up on a Pennsylvania farm, which is only true if you think that living in a mansion 10 minutes down the road from a farm where your family raised Arabian horses counts as "growing up on a farm."
But wait, there's more: McCormick also thinks the most popular beer in Pennsylvania is called "YANG-ling," which is like running for Senate in Massachusetts and saying you want coffee from "DOON-kin' Donuts."
If it wasn't obvious before, it's crystal clear now: David McCormick is wrong for Pennsylvania. But this will be one of the toughest races of the year for Democrats. McCormick has millions upon millions of dollars of his own to dump into this race, in addition to the backing of Donald Trump and billionaire-funded super PACs.
Pennsylvania is as competitive as it gets, and with the Senate majority and the White House depending on it, we can't take anything for granted.
So please, will you chip in whatever you can to Bob's campaign today?
Thanks,
Jon
