At a recent campaign stop, I was asked for my thoughts on California becoming an independent country.
The question may have been in jest, but my answer is dead serious: We are not going to let Donald Trump have this country.
I understand that people are anxious, angry, or even downright terrified by what they see coming out of this White House. There's no question that MAGA extremists don't represent our California values.
But, now is not the time to back down; it's time to step up.
I've seen what this movement can do when we come together. I wouldn't have gotten to Congress in 2018 without your help.
It's harder on this second go around. Trump and his allies are emboldened, and we're more tired than we were six or eight years ago.
That doesn't mean we give up.
To take our country back, it's going to take all of us. I'll be there every step of the way—on the campaign trail through to the ballot box. Can I count on you to stay with this movement and continue speaking out?
