Jason, it is fucking infuriating to watch the Trump administration wreak havoc on our government and enact their dangerous, destructive agenda.
We need to be taking pages out of Mitch McConnell's playbook that he used for years to stop Obama, to stop Biden, and prevent Democrats from passing our agenda. Everything has to be on the table to stop and slow Trump.
On top of that, we need to be organizing against vulnerable Republicans and turning the screws on them. We have to make their lives as painful as possible and line up the incentives for them to oppose Trump.
And finally we have to look ahead to upcoming elections and get behind people that are filled with rage over Trump's actions and have a burning fire within them to stop Trump and fight aggressively for a vision of this country that allows us to have more affordable housing, better healthcare, and provides some real economic opportunity and security.
That's where we come in.
And that's why I'm setting a $100,000 goal to show the power of our movement before the end-of-quarter fundraising deadline.
This is no joke. Every single day counts in the fight ahead. If we fall short of this goal, we'll be at a serious disadvantage going into the critical battles to come.
Here's the truth: The GOP is already gearing up for the next fight. If we don't keep our fundraising on track, the billionaires and corporate elite will keep pouring money into the Republican right-wing agenda while Democrats and progressives are left scrambling.
But we're not going to let that happen. We may not have the special interests on our side, but I know that the grassroots can be even more powerful.
This goal is bigger than just hitting a fundraising target. It's about empowering real leadership and political progress.
We need leaders who fight for working families, voting rights, and climate justice. Leaders who will not back down when things get tough.
