Every single American is better off when we have a strong, stable, globally competitive economy—and that's what our government should be investing in.
Medical research isn't just for sick people. It creates innovations that maintain the United States' competitive edge in the world economy.
Child care isn't just for people with kids. It strengthens our entire economy when parents can participate fully in the workforce.
New housing isn't just for people looking to buy or rent right now. It helps all of us when people can do the jobs our economy needs because they can afford to live where they work.
We need to shift the mindset that government "spending" is something that is done for other people. These are investments that benefit all of us.
That's the message that Americans across the country need to be hearing from our leaders at this moment.
