In California, our immigrant neighbors are welcome. Armed, untrained federal agents harassing, kidnapping, and hurting innocent people are not.
As governor, I'll protect our communities under attack from the federal government. And I'll continue to clearly and proudly say abolish ICE.
But until Congress gets its act together and ends this out-of-control agency, California needs to do its part to protect our neighbors.
But when two extreme Republicans have both led in the polls, we can't just assume that will happen. If nothing changes in this race, California could have a state government in lockstep with Donald Trump.
