We're not going to win this campaign from home.
Dear Jason,
I organized a call with our campaign leadership last week to discuss our travel over the next month. We discussed whether we need to pull down our events and meetings for the next couple of weeks, in an abundance of caution.
I thought about it. And then I said:
Find a way to keep me on the road. We're not going to win this campaign from home.
So I write this to you from Dallas, where we are prioritizing keeping our team and those with whom we work and meet along the way safe. We're masking, we're vaccinated and boosted and we're testing.
But we're also hustling — meeting with small business owners, local elected leaders and prospective volunteers. Bringing everyone we can find into this campaign.
We're in this to win. And winning in Texas means traveling to meet the voters who will decide the outcome of this critically important election. If you're with us, please consider chipping in anything today to help keep our campaign on the road.

After gathering with supporters tonight in Dallas, I will be back on the road, driving south to hold similar meetings in Coastal communities over the weekend.
I'll continue to share our message about the great things we can do when we bring Texans together, like creating better jobs, investing in world class public schools and expanding Medicaid so more folks can see a doctor. And I'll make sure that people also know that the way to achieve these goals is to take the fight to the one man who's preventing us from achieving our potential, Greg Abbott.
I can't phone that in. I've got to be there, in person, to get it done.
