This is what voter suppression looks like.
Greg Abbott's voter suppression law is working as intended, and it's wreaking havoc on our elections, Jason.
Early voting for primary elections — including our own primary — begins in 3 days. But in Harris County, where nearly 2.5 million registered voters live, a staggering 40% of mail-in ballots have already been rejected.
This is not a drill. Congress has shown it won't protect our voting rights. The Supreme Court won't either. So it's on ALL of us to step up.
If we want every voter to get a say in who becomes their next governor, we need nothing less than a historic, record-setting voter mobilization effort that is bigger than anything Texas has seen before.
Jason, will you donate right away to fuel our voter outreach program? We're in the midst of an ambitious push to have our 44,000+ volunteers reach 2 million voters before March 1st — and we need every single supporter's help to get it done, including yours.
Make no mistake: Abbott signed SB1 into law to cement his own power. His success in this campaign will rely on low voter turnout from the communities most hurt by these new voter restrictions.
That means we have to work twice as hard, register more voters than ever before, and make sure a historic number of people show up at the ballot box in November.
Over the course of February, we're going to personally connect with over 2 million Texas voters. That means we're going to knock on their doors, reach them on their phones, and even send them hand-written notes in the mail. Tens of thousands of volunteers have joined our team — that's more than twice the number of volunteers we had in 2018, when we set the voter turnout record in Texas.
This is how we directly take on Greg Abbott's voter suppression, and it's how we win this election. But we can't do it without you.
By making a donation to our campaign today, you will help us reach the Texans most targeted by Abbott's new voter suppression law. Can you chip in today?

We can do this but it can't wait.
Thank you,
Beto for Texas
