Governor Gavin Newsom here with an important request: If you haven't already, please vote YES on Proposition 1 before the polls close tonight at 8pm.
Proposition 1 is a once-in-a-generation reform to help people with serious mental illness and substance abuse problems get out of encampments, and into the housing and treatment facilities they need to get better.
It has bipartisan support, but it won't pass without YOUR vote.
All registered voters received mail-in ballots. You can also vote in person at a voting center or polling place.
Ballots must be postmarked, placed in a dropbox, or delivered to a polling place by 8 pm on Tuesday March 5.
