We haven't said much about our Democratic primary opponent since we first learned about him just a few weeks ago.
In that time, our challenger has self-financed 95% of his campaign to knock on doors all over New York's 14th, calling Alexandria and our progressive movement 'radical' for wanting to tax the rich and guarantee healthcare for all.
We're fighting back with our own grassroots canvassing:
• While he blames our 'extremist' policies for skyrocketing inflation, we'll focus on Alexandria's work in Congress every day to hold corrupt interests and corporations accountable for price-gouging and exploitation.
• As he downplays his 25+ year career fighting for record profits on Wall Street, we'll share how Alexandria has brought home millions of dollars for the working families of her district — while raising hundreds of thousands of dollars just this year for abortion activists, healthcare organizers, and climate disaster recovery efforts, thanks to this grassroots movement.
• And although our opponent calls our movement a 'left-wing political establishment', we'll keep having real conversations about how important Alexandria's fight for measures like raising the minimum wage, universal health care, universal child care, and free college can be for working people living in financial uncertainty.
