| Jason, it's Mark. I am suing the Secretary of Defense. After 25 years in uniform and another five in the United States Senate, I never imagined I'd have to do something like this. Hegseth has left me no choice. Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth want to use the power of the White House and the Department of Defense to punish me because they don't like what I have to say. Their attacks are directed at me right now, but they're trying to send a message to every retired member of the military: Speak out against us and we will come after you with every tool we have at our disposal. We'll censure you, we'll threaten your rank and retirement, and we might even court-martial you. It's unconstitutional, so I'm suing them.
