Jason, you might have seen the news that Elon Musk is officially a trillionaire.
Yeah, that’s not a typo. Trillionaire.
The fact that the richest man in the world is only getting richer — and he’s an extreme right-wing ideologue — should be a serious wake up call for all of us.
As a result of the Supreme Court's Citizens United decision, Elon Musk can pour as much of his fortune as he wants into our elections. The Court calls that "free speech."
In 2024, Musk spent over $277 million supporting Trump and MAGA Republicans.
So let me ask: do you and Elon Musk have an equal say in our government?
I know I don't.
It's time to fix a broken system. One that lets a trillionaire pay a smaller share of his income in taxes than a teacher, and lets a man like Musk buy off the very people sworn to protect us.
Elon spending hundreds of millions on elections is not free speech, it's legalized bribery.
In 2026, Elon has even more money to spend on bankrolling his chosen candidates. And I can guarantee you that none of those candidates are good for our country.
But here’s the good news: Leaders We Deserve doesn’t need a trillion dollars to fight back. We’re already on an incredible winning streak, and we aren’t done.
