In just a moment, I am going to ask you to split a donation between Tammy Baldwin and Elissa Slotkin's campaigns for U.S. Senate. Please give me a chance to explain why this request — especially today — is so important.
Here is the truth:
If either Tammy Baldwin or Elissa Slotkin lose their Senate races, Republicans will have control of the Senate. Period.

Now, both Tammy and Elissa made the difficult decision to launch their first television ads recently.
It was a risk for both of them, because you never want to launch ads and have to take them down before the election. Campaigns that do that will often lose.
But both of their opponents were running ads, and they had to get on the air or risk falling behind. And the bet they made was that people who understand the stakes of their races would fill their budget gaps created by the decision to spend early.
They've both asked if we can help before their May fundraising deadline ends Friday at midnight.
