You might be asking yourself, what is the point of that goal? Why do we need to raise $10,000 this month?
Well, we'll tell you: in a huge state like California, running for re-election gets really expensive really fast. In order to be competitive, campaigns like ours need to have plenty of money in the bank.
Now, the typical way politicians raise campaign funds is by doing what's known as call time — they literally sit in a room for hours on end, calling donors and asking for gifts. It works, but it takes up a lot of valuable time — time that Rob could spend fighting for us.
So we're doing things a bit differently — because another way we can raise the funds we need for Rob's re-election is through grassroots supporters like you giving to emails like this one.
In fact, if everyone receiving this email pitched in $10, we would reach our goal in no time — meaning Rob can focus on just being our Attorney General.
