First, a new round of Republican ad buys brought the total being spent against me to $100 million. National Republicans know they must win Pennsylvania to flip the Senate, and they are pulling out all the stops in an attempt to buy this seat.
This means we are on track to be outspent by nearly $40 million between now and Election Day. At this critical moment, we can't afford to have our message drowned out on the airwaves like this.
Now, a new poll has me and my opponent tied heading into the final stretch of the campaign. We always knew this race would be close, but right now, we are at risk of falling behind.
