Los Angeles

In the wake of the wildfires in Los Angeles, we have seen heroic acts from our firefighters, first responders, and Angelenos taking extraordinary action to help neighbors and strangers in their time of need.

In the wake of the wildfires in Los Angeles, we have seen heroic acts from our firefighters, first responders, and Angelenos taking extraordinary action to help neighbors and strangers in their time of need.

Last week, I stopped by to thank some of the volunteers doing their part...

...And firefighters whose bravery, heroism and non-stop work saved an already horrific tragedy from becoming unimaginably worse.

These wildfires have been the most destructive in California's history. More than two dozen people have died. Thousands of homes, businesses, and community spaces have been destroyed. People's lives changed forever.

The families here will need help long after the news coverage moves on from the devastation in Southern California.

I will be here helping in any way that I possibly can. And so will a number of organizations giving critical aid in families' who desperately need help.

One of those groups is the American Red Cross.

If you are inclined to help, especially before the national news transitions to other topics, here's a link to donate to the Red Cross. They have hundreds of workers on the ground providing food, shelter, and other critical services.

Please contribute $5, $50 or whatever feels right to the American Red Cross today. They will put your donation to work helping those experiencing a time of great need.

Thank you,
