Hi Jason,

We've all seen the scary images coming out of California right now with these tragic wildfires. Personally, Pam and I know multiple families who have lost homes and many more who are evacuating as we speak. It's nothing short of devastating.

I also know a lot of you reading this might not be here in California and are asking, what can we do to help?

First off, our top priority is controlling these fires and keeping everyone safe. If you are in the LA area, here are some wildfire safety tips and resources to keep your family safe.

If you're not local, please consider supporting the California Community Foundation Wildfire Relief Fund who are on the frontlines providing both short term emergency assistance and long term recovery.

I'll also add it is not lost on me that some of us have been yelling from the rooftops for a while now that wildfires are a legitimate crisis. Know that as we work to help these communities in the short term, I'm also working on what the heck we can do long term to fight this crisis. Our communities need real, long term solutions and that means the federal government needs to get its act together and DO SOMETHING to proactively fight back.

Please, please stay safe, and don't be afraid to reach out if you need support.

We will get through this. Pam and I are sending all our thoughts to our Southern California neighbors.

- Josh
