Friend, the midterms are around the corner, and they may be the most important elections of our lifetime.
As Attorney General, my team and I have been in court fighting to hold the Trump administration accountable to the law — filing more than 80 lawsuits, protecting billions in federal funding, and securing more than 65 court orders blocking illegal conduct.
We’ve held the line (and will continue to do so!), but the courts can only do so much in the fight for accountability and justice.
If we want to stop Trump’s illegal takeover of our federal government, we also need to win Democratic majorities in Congress. Between now and November, I’ll be highlighting some great Democrats in tough races across California who need our support — starting with my friend, Dr. Richard Pan.
Dr. Richard Pan is running to flip California’s 6th Congressional District. It’s one of the most competitive races in the state, and I’m proud to support him.

As a pediatrician, Dr. Pan spent his career caring for thousands of children and their families. He co-founded a nonprofit that helped 65,000 children get health coverage, and in the state legislature, he helped cut the number of uninsured Californians by more than half.
When the Disneyland measles outbreak put thousands of children and their families at risk and overwhelmed local doctors' offices, Dr. Pan jumped into action. He introduced legislation to ensure every child could safely attend school, all while RFK Jr. and the anti-vaccine movement spread misinformation, made threats, and targeted his family.

But Dr. Pan didn’t back down. Instead, he stood with parents, doctors, and public health leaders — and together, they won. As a result, vaccination rates went up, schools were safer, and our state hasn’t had a major measles outbreak since.
Now that RFK Jr. is using his platform within the Trump administration to spread more misinformation and put even more families at risk, Dr. Pan is exactly the kind of leader we need in Washington: one who has experience taking on MAGA Republicans, and who will fight back against extremists in Congress who are working to rip away healthcare from millions of Americans.
