Jermaine didn’t grow up with privilege or political connections. He grew up in poverty, surrounded by gun violence and homelessness. He lost his brother at just five years old. His family lived in motels, sometimes not knowing where they would sleep next.
But he turned pain into purpose.
Basketball earned him a scholarship to the College of Charleston, where he became team captain before playing professionally overseas. When he returned home, he earned his doctorate and founded a nonprofit that helps working people get the skills they need to build a better life.
And when the political establishment kept making excuses? He took on a 22-year incumbent—and won.
South Carolina deserves a governor who will walk across the aisle, grab folks by the hand, and bring them back to the middle to actually get things done. Jermaine is that governor—a unifier with a powerful story, a record of real results, and deep credibility across communities. He knows change is possible, and South Carolina is ready for it.
Will you help Jermaine fight for a new South Carolina by splitting a donation between our campaigns today?
